Resolutions I had set last year for 2011:
1. sign up for salsa classes (i’ve already picked the school, now it’s just waiting for my school timetable to be out and i’m good to go!)
I didn’t sign up for salsa classes, but I did go for exotic dance classes, and I’ll most likely continue the Level 3 classes next year once work stabilises!
2. lose weight. i’m 43 now, i hope to be a constant 41.
While I got a scare recently in Fullerton Hotel (the darned weighing machine told me I’d put on 5 kgs!), it turns out after I’d gingerly stepped onto the scales at home (which are accurate, btw), that I’m still at 43 kg. WHAT IS THIS. This will change after I sign up for a gym membership next year, as well as keep at my diet (which began 2 days ago). Mark my words.
3. travel more. current plans are diving in march and cambodia in may/june. hopefully we can squeeze in a bali/phuket in december!
While I didn’t go to Cambodia, Bali or Phuket, I did go diving in March, and Krabi in August (where I went diving at the Phi Phi Islands too!) and to Japan for my graduation trip.
4. get my advanced diving cert, so i can accompany my manslave in exploring the other world.
Still a wuss. :P
5. get double eyelids in 2012. hehe.
This is still in the works, ie. i will have to save a shitload of money.
6. save more $$. (so 3. and 5. can be achieved)
Paltry sum in my bank account. This should change next year.
7. drink less coke and more water. (no seriously, i think i only manage about 500ml of water a week. i need more hydration!)
Not done. I haven’t drank water in a week, I think.
8. to care less about those who don’t matter, and to care more about those who do.
Cut off ties with all the toxic people in my life. Who I hung out with the later half of this year, were all people I genuinely like and whose company I thoroughly enjoyed.
9. to hike up my GPA. i’m actually doing pretty good at the moment but i think my full potential hasn’t been unleashed yet, because i have this “what for when i’m not doing my honours” mentality. cannot like that ah, E!
Didn’t expect to graduate with a BA (Merit) but I did! -pats self on back- Well done, E.
10. to develop a closer relationship with my sister. and,
Done. :)
11. to be happier. (cause that’s really what’s important in life. :))
2011 didn’t go easy on me (came down pretty hard, actually) but it’s okay, because I definitely grew stronger, tougher and learnt to treasure what I have, more.
Resolutions for 2012 coming up in a few days! (sigh, tradition’s a bitch)
